Rurouni Kenshin TV - Kenshin (50)
Not long before this scene, a couple of things happened. Kaoru presented Kenshin with a "token" - her favorite indigo hair ribbon - and told him that he'd better not forget to return it after his upcoming fight with Udo Jine. But just as Kenshin realized that Kaoru didn't want to lose him, Jine, the still blood-crazed
hitokiri, swooped out of nowhere and snatched Kaoru away.
And now Kenshin has come to get her back. No matter what that will take. In this moment, he's striding purposefully toward the hut where Jine has tied Kaoru up. He's dropped all pretenses of humility. When he answers Jine with "Am I angry? Oh yes" he uses the rougher "ore" to refer to himself rather than his usual humble "sessha," which alarms Kaoru -- this is not her "Rurouni" she is seeing.
